Modbus industrial gateways offer serial-to-network functionality, converting RS485 serial ports into TCP/IP network interfaces. This enables bidirectional transparent data transmission between the RS485 serial port and the TCP/IP network interface, and supports bidirectional Modbus protocol transmission. The device supports 12, 8, or 4 serial communication channels, and one upstream 100Mbps Ethernet interface to adapt to various communication environments.

Product overview
The Modbus industrial gateway can provide serial port to network function, which can
convert RS485 serial port into TCP/IP protocol network port, realize bidirectional transparent
data transmission between RS485 serial port and TCP/IP protocol network port, and support
bidirectional transmission of MODBUS protocol. The device supports 12-way, 8-way or 4-way
serial communication, 1-way uplink 100M Ethernet port to adapt to various communication
environments.
Device management configures and manages devices in a centralized manner through
Windows upper computer software (PSD) device, and supports cross-network search
configuration function. The communication types supported by the device include: multi-port,
single-port gateway and Modbus serial port forwarding, etc. The communication modes
support TCP server, TCP client, UDP follow, UDP specify IP, Modbus TCP protocol mode,
etc., to meet the needs of users in different application scenarios.
The equipment adopts industrial design, power port, network port, serial port with anti
surge, electrostatic function. The power port supports anti-reverse protection function. The
equipment has strong anti-interference ability, operates stably at high temperature, and can
work stably and normally in complex and harsh environments for a long time.

Common faults
During device use, some faults may occur, and the user can restore the normal operation
of the device according to the faults and solutions listed below. If the problem cannot be solved,
please contact our company.
Power failure
Fault: the panel indicator lights are not lit after power-on.
Solution:
1. Check whether the power cable is connected and is in good contact with the terminal.
2. Check whether the positive and negative poles of the power cable are reversed.
3. Use a multi-meter to measure whether the input voltage is in the specified voltage range
(9~36V DC).
485 communication failure
Fault: RS485 communication failure
Solution:
1. Check whether the device parameters are configured correctly.
2. Check that the indicator lights on device panel display correctly.
3. Check whether the communication wiring is correct, if yes, check whether the
communication parameters are configured correctly.
4. Check whether the address of the 485 dial switch is the same as the communication
address of the upper computer.
Network communication failure
Fault: PSD software cannot search devices
Solution:
1. Check whether the network cable is securely connected to the computer.
2. Debug the computer and disconnect the WIFI network first.
3. Disable the virtual network adapter for computer network connection.
4. Run the ping command to check whether the IP address can be pinged.
5. Ensure that the computer has a fixed IP address on the same network segment as
the device.
